    1. Easy with only a few chords
    2. Make sure you can get the lyrics
    3. Remember you can only think of one thing at a time
  2. Master the chord changes
    1. Automation
    2. If you are slow with your chord changing and having to think about them a lot it’s too early
    3. Simplify rhythm
    4. Use a metronome 
    5. Get in time & stay in time
  3. Memorize the lyrics
    1. Do an internet search for your song followed by lyrics and print off
    2. Sing along to the song without playing the guitar
    3. Lyrics & melody
  4. Match the words to the chords
    1. Know on which syllable the chord changes
    2. Write the chord above the lyrics
    3. Start slow
  5. Build up the rhythm
    1. Now its time to add the finishing touches
